Inside the Lesson

In this episode, Sheila Wray Gregoire—syndicated columnist, speaker, and author of seven books on the topics of marriage and encouraging women in their relationships—discusses her book 31 Days to Great Sex. She answers a myriad of questions about a healthy sex life, including: (1) How can married couples deal with differences in libido? (2) What do men really want in the bedroom? (3) How can a couple overcome their sexual insecurities? and (4) How can a couple make sex a priority? Sheila Wray Gregoire debunks several common myths about men, sex, pornography, and libido. Men, she says, make love in order to feel loved, and women need to feel loved in order to make love. With that in mind, she encourages couples to focus on each other’s needs first in the bedroom and to prepare themselves physically and emotionally several hours before making love. For the military couples, she gives excellent advice on how to keep the passion alive during long periods of separation.
